Chris Praml is an audio/visual expert who utilizes technology to tell a story and enhance any event. Professionally, Chris has worked freelance in the television industry in the tri-state area as a videographer, cameraman, and studio technician. Creating videos including bios, advertising, sports coverage/highlights, interviews, corporate, testimonials and more.
Chris teaches media production at Mt. Olive High School where he launched and currently manages two local cable channels on FiOS and Cablevision as well as the production of a live news show airing to over 24,000 people. Chris managed and executed the upgrade of the studio facilities at Mt. Olive from analog to fully digital. Chris is a member of the Technical Education Advisory Committee at Mt. Olive. He designed, wrote, and teaches the curriculum for four full-year television production courses and co-wrote semester curriculum for other media courses in the department. The program was recognized at a college level and Chris became an off-site Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2013, which he continues today.
Chris has advised media programs throughout the tri-state area as well as California, Texas, Indiana and Ohio. Further, he has consulted with MSGVarsity on their outreach program and managed the Mt. Olive MSGVarsity partnership and grant.
Chris graduated from William Paterson University with a B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Television and Radio Broadcasting. He then completed his M.A. in Education and Human Services with a concentration in Instructional Design and Technology from Seton Hall University. Always continuing to learn, he earned a second M.A. in Educational Leadership in June, 2015 from Thomas Edison State University. Chris holds a New Jersey Teacher of Television Broadcasting certificate, a New Jersey Supervisor certificate, and a New Jersey Principal's certificate of eligibility.
When he isn’t working Chris is a dedicated martial artist with a second-degree black belt in IMAF Fighting Systems, a first grade black belt in Doce Pares Eskrima, an apprentice instructor certificate in Jeet Kune Do, and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He enjoys spending time with his family, friends and dogs; as well as running, rock climbing, biking, hiking, scuba diving and traveling.
